Discover the history behind the brand

What began as a small company that started out of a garage in South Jordan, Utah, in 2010 has quickly become the largest solar provider in Utah and one of the fastest growing in the U.S.

Auric Solar opened its doors for business in 2010 and has had an average year over year growth trend of 171%.  This was accomplished by focusing on customer experience, quality, timeliness, and providing a responsible way to switch to solar power.  Auric Solar’s headquarters are in Salt Lake City Utah, and the company has expanded to service all of Utah and Idaho with over 150 employees.

An idea was born

Founders Trent Vansice and Jess Phillips were attracted to the solar industry because of the growth potential and the fact that they could impact the air quality locally while saving people money at the same time.  Jess’s father decided he would look into purchasing solar himself and had a poor experience in attempting to find a company that could help him.  Immediately Trent and Jess saw the opportunity in the industry and felt that they had the experience and passion to help people who were looking for solar power.

They started from scratch, carving their own path based on trial and error and responding to customers’ requests.  By educating and providing a responsible way for clients to pay for solar, the company has seen great success and is grateful for the trust its customers have placed in them.  Auric Solar started inside of a garage, and has since had to expand to a new facility almost every year. In the early days, Trent’s wife knew if they were doing well by how many solar panels were being delivered to her garage space.  Since that time, and by focusing on building a strong foundation that emphasized quality and timeliness, they were able to attract other great members to the team that have helped propel the company to where it is today.
