Auric Solar Flips the Switch on Utah’s Largest Solar Power Project at Rio Tinto Stadium

Auric Solar is proud to announce that we have flipped the switch on Utah’s largest solar power project at Rio Tinto Stadium after 6 months of production. The 2,020 kilowatt system will offset 73% of the stadium’s power needs and reduce the environmental impact of carbon dioxide. The impact is comparable to removing 450 cars from the road or planting 47,278 trees per year. More than 90 percent of the solar panels are located on new covered parking structures and the rest on the rooftops of office building and concessions. Rio Tinto Stadium now features the largest solar array in Major League Soccer.
